"Don't order anything in advance!"

Been going there for years and as long as you don't have any particular requirements I wood rate them as good. I have ordered baby back ribs twice from them. The first time they had a week to sort them out but when I went to pick them up on Friday they weren't done as they didn't have a pig! This was a Friday! We had friends around and the ribs were supposed to go on the barbecue - complete rethink for the food! My wife went out the Saturday and they still hadn't been done - they did sort them out though on the Saturday - but the butcher on Saturday completely unaware of the order! Sane thing happened two weeks later - but this time thought we'd try on Saturday because you'd imagine they must have a pig delivered for then? Again I arrived and again the Saturday butcher completely unaware of the order I placed a week before and said he hadn't any ribs! I went to Piimlotts in Cheadle Hulme who I used to go to years before. They have them readily available - their pig delivery service is clearly better. The butchers had my phone number on each occasion but didn't use it. If you invite friends for a meal and rely on your butcher for the meat you need to know when you order that the food it will be there - not at Norbury Farm butchers! Glad I ordered my Christmas meat at Piimlotts as they had it ready and it was lovely. I'm not saying do t use Norbury Farm - I won't again - they're a bit of an amateur operation. Hazel dines and Piimlotts have a professional operation in my opinion..
